Bitachon Means Remembering Hashem Is the Source
“They have forsaken Me, the spring of living waters…”
Yirmiyahu 2:13
It Looked Like Water, But It Wasn’t
Hashem is the endless spring: pure, reliable, always flowing.
But we often trade that for something that looks secure. A “cistern” that seems able to hold water.
The problem is that those cisterns are broken. They leak. They fail. And when life hits hard, they can crumble.
Bitachon is knowing that Hashem isn’t one of the options. He’s the Source.
Reflection
We chase careers, approval, insurance policies, and investments, hoping they’ll protect us.
But the Navi warns us: Don’t trade Hashem for a leaky bucket.
We still do our hishtadlut. We still use the tools He gives us. But we remember that none of them is the Source.
Hashem is the Source.
Today’s Avodah
Today, remind yourself throughout the day:
“Hashem is my spring. Not my job. Not my plans. Not my bank account.”
Repeat it whenever uncertainty makes you reach for something else.
Carry today’s avodah with you and return tomorrow.

What is Habitachon?
Habitachon helps you build a daily practice of growing in bitachon: one Torah insight, one reflection, and one practical avodah, in about one minute.
The one minute is your daily minimum. The goal is not to finish more content. It is to return each day and gradually bring more trust in Hashem into real life.
Start with the guided seven-day beginning. Choose a dependable daily moment, protect the one-minute minimum, and then continue with the current Habitachon lesson each day.
Bitachon is a muscle. Habitachon helps you strengthen it every day.
