The One Who Made You Knows What Helps You
The One who created you knows what benefits you, what harms you, and what is good for you.
Chovot Halevavot – Shaar Habitachon
You Know What You Want. He Knows You.
We usually know what would make us feel better right now. Rabbeinu Bachya asks us to trust something deeper. Hashem knows us because He made us. He knows the parts of the story we cannot see, including what helps us and what harms us. That does not make disappointment painless. It means our view is not the only view in the room.
Reflection
Where have I assumed that what I want must also be what is best for me?
Today’s Avodah
Name what you want, then add: “Hashem, You know me better than I know myself. Guide me toward what is truly good.”
Carry today’s avodah with you and return tomorrow.

What is Habitachon?
Habitachon helps you build a daily practice of growing in bitachon: one Torah insight, one reflection, and one practical avodah, in about one minute.
The one minute is your daily minimum. The goal is not to finish more content. It is to return each day and gradually bring more trust in Hashem into real life.
Start with the guided seven-day beginning. Choose a dependable daily moment, protect the one-minute minimum, and then continue with the current Habitachon lesson each day.
Bitachon is a muscle. Habitachon helps you strengthen it every day.
