Day 8

Bitachon: Why We Must Trust Hashem, Not People

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man… whose heart turns away from Hashem.”

Yirmiyahu 17:5

The Spiritual Danger of Self-Reliance

When we make people or institutions our source of security, we’re not just misplacing our trust. Our heart begins turning away from Hashem.

The curse is not arbitrary. It is the consequence of disconnecting from the only true Source of support.

We may still need people. We may still use systems. But they cannot become the place where our heart rests.

Reflection

Independence can feel powerful.
But when it replaces trust in Hashem, it can leave us carrying life alone.
Who or what has started feeling more dependable to me than Hashem?

Today’s Avodah

Say aloud:
“Hashem, I don’t want to walk alone. I may need people and systems, but my trust is in You.”

Today’s rep is complete.

Carry today’s avodah with you and return tomorrow.

Bitachon needs daily reps

What is Habitachon?

Habitachon helps you build a daily practice of growing in bitachon: one Torah insight, one reflection, and one practical avodah, in about one minute.

The one minute is your daily minimum. The goal is not to finish more content. It is to return each day and gradually bring more trust in Hashem into real life.

Start with the guided seven-day beginning. Choose a dependable daily moment, protect the one-minute minimum, and then continue with the current Habitachon lesson each day.

Bitachon is a muscle. Habitachon helps you strengthen it every day.
