A Good Choice Still Counts When It Does Not Work Out
Source idea: A person's choice and intention have spiritual meaning even when the intended action is not completed.
Chovot Halevavot – Shaar Habitachon
The Result Does Not Erase the Choice
Sometimes you make the right choice and the plan still falls apart. Rabbeinu Bachya says the spiritual meaning of your choice does not disappear just because the action could not be completed. That matters for bitachon. You can look at whether you chose well and tried honestly. Completion may be outside you. A failed result does not automatically mean you failed.
Reflection
Am I blaming myself for an outcome when my actual choice was sound?
Today’s Avodah

What is Habitachon?
Habitachon helps you build a daily practice of growing in bitachon: one Torah insight, one reflection, and one practical avodah, in about one minute.
The one minute is your daily minimum. The goal is not to finish more content. It is to return each day and gradually bring more trust in Hashem into real life.
Start with the guided seven-day beginning. Choose a dependable daily moment, protect the one-minute minimum, and then continue with the current Habitachon lesson each day.
Bitachon is a muscle. Habitachon helps you strengthen it every day.
