Even Food on the Table Still Has to Be Eaten
Even food already in front of you will not satisfy you until you pick it up and eat it.
Chovot Halevavot – Shaar Habitachon
Bitachon Still Has Hands
Rabbeinu Bachya chooses an almost funny example because it is so obvious. Food can be sitting right in front of you and it still will not satisfy your hunger until you pick it up and eat it. Action is part of the world Hashem created. Making the call or taking the medicine can fit perfectly with bitachon. The work is yours. The power over the outcome stays with Hashem.

What is Habitachon?
Habitachon helps you build a daily practice of growing in bitachon: one Torah insight, one reflection, and one practical avodah, in about one minute.
The one minute is your daily minimum. The goal is not to finish more content. It is to return each day and gradually bring more trust in Hashem into real life.
Start with the guided seven-day beginning. Choose a dependable daily moment, protect the one-minute minimum, and then continue with the current Habitachon lesson each day.
Bitachon is a muscle. Habitachon helps you strengthen it every day.
