Miracles in the Rearview Mirror

If you want to really see and appreciate miracles, look backwards.

Albert Einstein said “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

It’s often hard to see miracles right in front of us because we’re so used to everything. The way our bodies work, nature, advances in medicine and technology. We take so much of it for granted.

But think about what it took for you to exist.

Your mother had to have you. Her mother had to have her. And her mother before her. Every single mother in that chain, going all the way back to Chava, had to be there. If even one link had been missing, you wouldn’t be here.

And then there’s perhaps the greatest miracle of all. The Jewish people.

The Egyptians enslaved us. The Babylonians conquered us. The Romans destroyed our Beit Hamikdash. Those empires are gone.

And we’re still here.

Hashem’s Got Us. Always.
